Le Blanc’s Kikay Tint || Product Review + Swatches

I’m not the biggest fan of lip tints. I’m a full lip coverage kind of person and I absolutely love pigmented lipsticks and liquid lipsticks, but sometimes, they can look too overpowering — especially, when going for a natural look. This is where lip and cheek tints save the day!

Lately, I’ve been loving these adorable lip and cheek tints from Le Blanc’s Beauty & ScentStation.

Product Description:

Le Blanc’s Kikay Tint Lip & Cheek Tint
“Your everyday go & glow makeup…”

  • Affordable (True. It’s only 80 pesos!)
  • Organic
  • NO bitter taste
  • Non-drying

It comes in 4 shades: Charming Red, Passion Orange, Blooming Pink, and Alluring Fuchsia

Charming Red is a warm, tomato red colour. This is my favourite shade! I feel like this one is the most versatile one. Applied lightly, it give a very, very natural flush of colour both on the lips and cheeks. Compared to pink, red actually better/closely mimics one’s natural flush—just as though you’ve pinched your cheeks or reddened from a brisk walk. When layered, Charming Red is actually pretty bold! The formula layers well, so you won’t get that “diluted” colour payoff.

Passion Orange is a wearable, mid-tone orange. It’s not a bright, almost neon orange (which in my opinion, tends to look unwearable for everyday). This one would look great on all skin tones, thanks to its balance of red and yellow tones and the buildable formula. Those with dark/pigmented lips don’t need to worry about this looking “off”—which is a plus!

Blooming Pink is a bright warm pink that gives a healthy, youthful flush of colour. When I first saw this shade, I thought it would be too “pang-bagets” for me. I mean, this is the shade all the tweens and teens are wearing and I am a little too old to fall under that category. Hahaha! It’s actually a very pretty shade that makes me look fresh and healthy.

Alluring Fuchsia is quite different from what I imagined. Not that it’s a bad thing necessarily. I just have a different “fuchsia” in mind.  It leans more towards a “purple-berry” hue.

The formula is odd to me in a good way. It’s thin in texture, but not watery or diluted. It has some slip and moisture to it, but it’s not oily. Now, I’m no expert when it comes to formulas, so I can’t give much insight as to what made it this way. All I can say is that I’m loving it! It spreads easily and evenly, it blends nicely and it doesn’t dry up quickly (which means you have more time to blend it), it doesn’t set into awkward blotchy stains, and it’s neither drying nor oily.

Look at the super cute packaging!

What I love:

  • It looks natural
  • It serves 2 purposes: lip colour and blush
  • It’s a quick, on-the-go kind of product
  • It lasts longer on the cheeks compared to powder blush
  • It makes you look healthy and blooming even when it’s the only product you’re wearing
  • It’s lightweight

What I don’t love:

  • The shade “Alluring Fuchsia” isn’t as pigmented as the others, I find. It’s not a big issue since these tints layer nicely to build up pigmentation.

Overall Thoughts:

You really can’t go wrong with these tints. They’re super affordable and the quality is really good. Plus, they’re organic! Perfect for sensitive skin and younger beauty lovers. [I gave these as Christmas gifts to my niece and my best friend’s sister — they’re both young teens.]
