Having acne prone skin, I’ve tried a lot of so-called “quick fixes”; from DIY tips such as using toothpaste (please don’t do this) to store-bought solutions. I can count on one hand the number of things that actually worked for me.

Some of my favourites from the brand include the Beso Balm, Sugar Lip Polish, Rouge Deluxe lipsticks, and the S-Skin Stem Cell Sunblock Cream (I think this was discontinued).
Now, let’s talk about the Snoe Shoo-zit! Don’t Bother Me! Buff The Magic Cystic Buffering Solution (what a mouthful!)
I purchased this during Shopee’s Beauty Campaign Sale and I got it for only PHP 250. It was such a steal! It makes me wish I bought a back-up.
It has a thin and watery consistency that dries down to a powdery/chalky film on the skin. The white sediment settles at the bottom, so you have to shake the bottle before every use.
This solution is applied after cleansing, toning, and moisturizing the skin. Ideally, this should be used with the rest of the Shoo-Zit product line (Wash Away Those Zits Deep Cleansing Wash, Dip & Dry Acne Drying Lotion, Matte World Mattifying Acne Toner, Daily Maintenance Acne Fading Gel, and Clay What You Want Whitening Detox Drying Mask)
Lately, my skin has been playing games with me. For the most part, the condition of my skin has improved thanks to my new skin care routine. However, I still get pesky breakouts every now and again. I needed something to spot treat the problem areas; hence, I bought [this].
Did it work?
As you can see in the photo, my zits dried up and flattened out. The redness is still there, but the bumps have decreased in size. The skin didn’t look or feel inflamed after 3 days of application (applied once a day, before bed).
What I love:
- It works! It dries up my zits in 3 days.
- Minimal stinging
- Non-greasy, not sticky
- A little goes a long way
- Lightweight and quickly absorbed by the skin
What I don’t love:
- Strong alcohol scent
- It’s very runny which makes it difficult to apply
- Since you can’t control how much you apply, it may spread on the surrounding skin and cause dryness
- It leaves a powdery white film on top of the skin (hence, I only apply it when I’m at home)
Overall thoughts:
The brand is homegrown (founded and owned by Ms. Jen Gerodias Diaz), the product itself is effective, it’s an affordable alternative to the expensive Mario Badescu Drying Lotion, and it passed my skin’s pickiness.
The Snoe Shoo-zit! Don’t Bother Me! Buff The Magic Cystic Buffering Solution is a must-have in my Skin Savers list.
