I purchased this because despite being into beauty, I’m just not a fan of complex skin care routines. I’m a basic cleanse-tone-moisturize kind of person. However, occasionally, I like to shake things up. I wanted to add an extra step in my routine and bought this serum. It claims to lighten freckles, blemishes, and brighten the skin. I deal with a lot of acne scars and hyperpigmentation, so this sounded like the right variant for me.

The texture is light and watery, and easily absorbed by the skin. It doesn’t feel sticky and it makes my skin look hydrated and dewy.

As for its claimed effects, well…it’s a “meh” for me. Although, I did include this is my 2017 favourites, looking back now, it’s really not all that. It didn’t “wow” me. It brightened my skin — yes, but it didn’t really help fade my scars. At least, not significantly.

Did I like it? Well, I used it all up and I loved how lightweight and hydrating it is. I like the brightening effect. I just didn’t love it, I suppose.

Would I repurchase it? Probably not. I’m still on the look out for different serums.
